TOYS
‘TOYS’ is a dance piece by Léa Tirabasso, with music by Martin Durov.
I was asked to join the TOYS cast as a replacement to original member James Finnemore (header footage in light blue trousers) during the time that I was working with Léa on The Ephemeral Life of an Octopus.
We performed at SIDance 2018 festival in Seoul, South Korea with only 1 full day of rehearsal.
‘TOYS represents the game, the absolute, the disguise of human tragedy as a constant celebration. It is the wild pursuit of pleasure to trick the wait, it is the loss of oneself within a group, the morning after' the hangover, the oblivion.’
